Google Home is set to make it even easier to control your other connected devices and appliances around the house.

Amazon Echo may be the first voice-controlled speaker launched in the market but Google Home is quickly catching up when it comes to skills and software support needed to control the rest of your smart home gadgets.
According to the recent update to the Google Home support site, the gadget is set to make it even easier for you to control all your connected devices at home.
Prior to the update, users can already connect some of their devices directly through Google Home with a quick voice command. Others, on the other hand, require an extra step. For example, automating a connected washing machine requires asking Google to tell a secondary service to carry out the command. Users must also remember the extra trigger words require. With the recent update, this could be a thing in the past. Thanks to Google’s language recognition skills, there is no need to memorise names and specific phrases.
So where before you had to say a specific phrase like, “Ok Google, speak to LG Smart to turn on robot cleaner”, with the recent update, you can just say, “Ok Google, start the robot vacuum,” and it will know what to do.
