Is Google Home worth your money?

Google Home is a smart speaker developed by Google. It enables users to interact with services through Google Assistant – a digital personal assistant that processes voice commands. For example, you can ask it questions, such as what’s the weather going to be like today? Where is the nearest Starbucks? How long is the flight to San Francisco? and it will provide you the best possible answer. It can also set a timer to boil an egg or set an alarm to pick up the kids.

 

Google Home can also play songs or tune a radio station whenever you ask for it. The sound is actually pretty good for its size, with perfectly good punch. If your TV has Chromecast, it can do something really neat. Just switch your TV on and start playing the show you asked for on Netflix or the clip you’re looking for on YouTube. Google Home is also able control other home automation devices, including Nest heating system or Philips Hue Lights.

 

Although voice control is definitely not for everyone, consumers who are considering taking a leap into this area of smart home technology will find Google Home worth every penny.
