Hollywood stars to join moment of silence for Sandy Hook School victims
Hollywood A-list stars like Matthew McConaughey and Jada Pinkett Smith urged fans to join the tribute.

One week after Sandy Hook shootings, President Barack Obama plans to observe a moment of silence on Friday at the White House in honor of those people who have died at Sandy Hook School massacre. The White House confirmed that it will happen at 9:30am EST without press coverage.
20 children and six adults were killed at school. Alleged shooter Adam Lanza, who killed himself, is also believed to have killed his mother before going to the school.
Hollywood stars are expected to join the moment of silence. Some are even calling on fans to join the tribute. Matthew McConaughey, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria, and Tyra Banks are among Hollywood celebrities to retweet the message "Join me in observing a moment for SandyHook victims, in silence, this Friday at 930am ET.”
Jada Pinkett Smith added, "May tomorrow also be in remembrance of all of those who have lost lives to senseless violence. momentforSandyHook"
On the other hand, President Obama has asked Vice President Joe Biden to recommend new, tighter gun laws to ensure that Sandy Hook School shooting can be avoided.
