BGT judge announces she is pregnant with her second child...

Amanda Holden has announced that she is expecting her second child with husband Chris Hughes.

The BritainÂ’s Got Talent judge revealed the news on Twitter and then released a full statement to her fans. The pregnancy comes months after the actress tragically lost her son in the seventh month of pregnancy.

“Chris, Lexi and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl” she said in the statement. “The first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult for us and so we are beyond delighted to share this news with you.”

She asked fans to ‘bear with her’ while she understandably put herself and the pregnancy first, and said: “My first priority is of course my family. I will therefore be adjusting one of my professional commitments accordingly.”

The actress is currently staring as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical, but under medical advice will end her contract early and perform for the final time on October 3rd. She will be replaced by Girls Aloud singer Kimberly Walsh.

Amanda continued: “Your ongoing support for us this year has been so touching. We are enormously grateful. Thank you so much for your understanding.”
