Former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight has voluntarily handed himself into the police after an assault and subsequent escape dash left a man dead.
Knight claims he was being assaulted by two men and attempted an escape in his car but 'accidentally' run over and killed his friend Terry Carter while also injuring another friend Cle "Bone" Sloane.
LA County Sheriff, Lt. John Corina described the events: "Looks like he drove backwards and struck the victims and drove forwards and struck them again.
"The people we talked to say it looked like it was an intentional act."
Knight's legal rep James Blatt stated: "We are confident that once the investigation is completed, he will be totally exonerated.
"He was in the process of being physically assaulted by two men and in an effort to escape he unfortunately hit two (other) individuals. He was in his car trying to escape."
The music mogul was previously shot six times during an LA nightclub brawl in August while he was partying with Chris Brown.
