Several months of living with COVID-19 has certainly made it difficult for friends and families to come together and spend quality time. Thus, the news of an open-air cinema can certainly give you something to look forward to.
HideAway Cinema is reimagining the open-air cinema format using state-of-the-art technology to present a socially distanced cinematic experience at some of the UK's most beautiful and iconic locations. These include HAC Shoreditch in London, South England Agricultural Society in Sussex, Knowsley Estate in Merseyside, Kew Gardens in London, Cheltenham Racecourse, St Ives in Cornwall, and Holkham Hall in Norfolk.
The project allows friends and families to get together to enjoy both new and classic films with added atmosphere and a stunning backdrop. Some of the popular films that will be shown are Dirty Dancing, Space Jam, Grease, Tom & Jerry The Movie, In The Heights, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Wonder Woman 1984.
To comply with the existing Government guidelines on Covid, tickets are available for a socially distanced pod to which viewers will be guided on arrival by a member of the team. The capacity of each pot will range from two to six persons. However, it is anticipated that the pod system will no longer be required by law from June 21 but tickets will continue to be sold in this format in case social distancing will still be required.
