Hertford Extend Wifi

Hertford extends free WiFi service to cover almost the whole town centre.

Hertford Town Council has extended its WiFi service to cover the majority of its town centre. The service, which can be accessed by visitors, residents and businesses, was officially launched on March 17.

 

The free WiFi, which used to be limited to Railway Street, Salisbury Square, Market Street, Bull Plain, Market Place and Maidenhead Street, is now extended to Fore Street, Parliament Square, The Wash, St Andrew Street, Warren Place and Old Cross.

 

Councillor Jane Sartin, chairman of the development and leisure committee, said: “Following the success of the initial area covered by free Wi-Fi in Hertford, I am pleased that Hertford Town Council has been able to make the investment to expand the service across the town centre.

 

“Access to free Wi-Fi is increasingly part of everyday life, helping people use mobile devices wherever they are more easily.

 

“This expansion is part of Hertford Town Council’s ongoing commitment to support our local shops and the business community.”
