People wanting to buy a place in France have been offered a helping hand by HSBC.
Credit Commercial de France (CCF), a mortgage expert for regions in France and subsiduary of the HSBC Group, has produced a report for those wanting to invest in the French property market.
The report, called "Buying a home in France", contains advice about finding the right property, making the purchase, some possible pitfalls and all of the legalities involved in the mortgage arrangement.
CCF has an extensive network in France and claims to have a "deep understanding of the local property market".
The company also has a French subsidiary with an "intimate knowledge" of the property market. They will put you in contact with French estate agents and conveyancers through their network of 220 branches across France.
Also provided are UK-based solicitors specialising in French property law and bilingual mortgage advisers.
