Soap star Helen Flanagan managed to shock the rest of the world by posting a picture with a gun pressed to her head in the wake of Sandy Hook massacre.
Parents of those children who were killed in Newtown, Connecticut accused the star of ‘brainless stupidity’.
The photo was posted online on Monday – the day of the first funerals of young victims.
According to reports, Helen first posted the snap in October but for some reason, decided to publish it again on Monday. Although it was already removed from Twitter, it is still being displayed at an online picture storage site.
Helen declined to comment but managed to tweet: “I was so hungover yesterday.”
Meanwhile, US President Barack Obama backed up his vow to bring in gun control laws to outlaw the sale of assault weapons. His spokesperson said that the president will also support legislation to prevent people from buying guns from private dealers without background checks.
After the Sandy Hook massacre, where suspect Adam Lanza killed himself after killing 26 school victims, gun sales have supposedly risen, according to gun dealers.
