The current stretch of warm weather and bright, sunny skies is expected to end on Thursday due to so-called “mini Arctic Plunge” that is said to be creeping down south affecting the weather until early May.
Leon brown from Weather Channel UK said: “There is a change in the weather pattern from the end of the week with a hint of a colder Arctic plunge during the weekend bringing a much colder end to April and start to May.
“May see snow again in the forecast for high ground in the north,”
Meanwhile, the Met Office said that Brits can expect a fairly warm and dry weather for the next three days with some morning fog and low cloud particularly in East Anglia and the East Midlands. As for the temperature, Northern Ireland and Scotland can expect between 13 to 15C with highs 17C and 19C in London.
By Thursday, it will be much windier and cooler with most parts of the country’s temperatures dropping by a few degrees.
The early weeks of May will also be unsettled. The BBC claims: “There is a good deal of uncertainty regarding the weather conditions expected over the UK during this period.”
