Heather Mills, the ex-wife of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, has shattered her Paralympic hopes after threatening an official in a ‘disgraceful outburst’ over the wrong type of boot.
Mills, who had one of her legs amputated after a car accident, allegedly screamed, “You b***h, you b***” at official Sylvana Mestre as coaches looked on in astonishment.
Reports added that she had to be restrained by staff and had threatened Mestre to have her axed from her position as technical head at the International Paralympic Committee.
The 45-year-old then reportedly stormed out of UK disabled ski team before Paralympic Winter Games.
An IPC source claimed: “Heather erupted in rage. She told Sylvana: ‘Don’t you know who I am? I will make your life a misery. I will have you removed from the IPC and the sport.’ Sylvana was afraid she might hit her.”
Meanwhile, Slovakia's coach Branislav Mazgut, who saw the incident said: “Heather was red in the face and went to push Sylvana and started shouting. Sylvana said: ‘Please don’t touch me.’”
Mestre appeared to be traumatised by the incident, saying: “This has left me deeply shocked.”
