Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe: 'Why I only ever date actresses'

The actor said long hours on film sets means that he can only date actresses who would understand his line of work.

Although millions of female fans from around the globe would love to go on a date with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, only girls who work in the film industry have a chance with the actor.

He explains: “If you’re in a film and you’re an actor and your girlfriend is not an actor and you say, ‘Right, I’m going away for four months and, no, I won’t see you at all during that time’, that could go down really badly.”

The Horns star continued: “The other person would just say, ‘Well, why don’t you just not take the job?’, whereas another actor would understand that’s just not something you would do.”

At the moment, the actor is in a relationship with US actress Erin Darke, who is five years his senior. They met on the set of the true-life movie Kill Your Darlings.

He reveals: “We just got on immediately. It was one of those instant things where you’re like, ‘Oh, I really like this person.’

"You just have a connection with somebody and then suddenly it’s incredibly easy to talk to them – one of those sort of situations.”
