Jade Goody was the victim of phone hacking during her cancer battle, it has been claimed.
The Big Brother star, who passed away in 2009 after a battle with cancer, was apparently convinced that her voicemails were being intercepted after personal details ended up in tabloids, claims the Daily Star.
The newspaper also reports that Goody's mother, Jackiey Budden is planning to sue News International, who published the News of the World, after police confirmed that they suspected her daughter was a victim of the mass hacking.
The late reality star's former publicist told the publication:
"Just weeks before Jade died she told me she thought her phone was being hacked because confidential information was coming out that would never have emerged otherwise.
"Things were in the press and she was saying, 'There's no way this could have come from this person'. Even now with what's happened to me I can't make confidential calls to those closest to me without the fear that someone's listening.
"She had to deal with that on her deathbed."
It's also alleged that the tabloid accessed the voicemail that Goody left for her mother upon discovering she had cancer.
Jade found out she had cancer while appearing on Big Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. She died in March 2009.
