Gwyneth Paltrow believes her late father is walking her dead dog in heaven.

The Oscar-winning actress has revealed she got over the death of her pet Labrador, Holden, when a friend suggested he was being cared for by her beloved dad, Bruce Paltrow, who passed away in 2002.

Gwyneth explained: "I was really upset the day we had to put Holden to sleep until someone said, 'You know your father is walking him in heaven right now.'

"I thought, 'Wouldn't that be great?'"

Earlier this week, Gwyneth confessed she calls husband Chris Martin 'Daddy'.

The stunning star admits it was difficult hearing or saying the name after dad Bruce passed on.

But since the Coldplay frontman became a father when their daughter Apple was born, Gwyneth has found it easier.

She explained: "Now it's easier for me that my husband is a father. I call him Daddy, and it's in a different context."
