Greater Manchester Showcased at Digital City Festival
2022 Digital City Festival to showcase Greater Manchester as the destination for innovation with the cyber security sector.

Greater Manchester is set to be showcased as the destination for innovation within the cyber security sector at this year's Digital City Festival.
The week-long festival, which is scheduled between March 7th and 11th, will host a number of key industry speakers and events that will celebrate the region as the epicentre of cybersecurity not just in the UK but worldwide.
Speakers at the event will include Bev Craig, Leader of Manchester Council and GMCA Lead for Digital, Education, Skills, Work and Apprenticeships; and Victoria Knight, Strategic Campaigns Director at BAE systems and Co-Chair at Greater Manchester Cyber Security Advisory Group.
Attendees will also hear from Detective Superintendent Neil Jones, Managing Director at North West Cyber Resilience Centre; Ruby Motabhoy, Innovation Lead at Plexall; and Professor Emma Barrett OBE, Professor of Psychology, Security, and Trust at the University of Manchester and Director at SPRITE+.
Speakers will discuss the steps taken by the Greater Manchester as it addresses the threats of cyber-crime and why cyber security is crucial through the increase in remote working and businesses and services shifting online.
