Google Glass Is Back

Google is quietly re-launching Glass that is currently aimed at workplaces.

Google is quietly re-launching Glass that features different design and which is aimed primarily to businesses, as confirmed by the Wall Street Journal. A new consumer version of the glasses is at least a year away, the report added.

 

The new model comes with a special “button-and-hinge system” that will let it be clipped on to any glasses. Google is now giving out the new version to developers, who are encouraged to develop apps for businesses. The report added that Google can minimise criticism through this strategy. The early version of the glass was criticised as it allowed people to secretly film others in public, breaching their privacy.

 

The new version features a more flexible design, upgraded processor, extra battery and better wireless connectivity. The screen was also made bigger, thinner, and more adjustable.
