Frasier Crane, US TV's longest running character, may not have reached the finish line after all, it has emerged.
While the final episode of the radio psychiatrist's show might be in the can, it is possible he will return in another show.
Reports broke in entertainment paper Daily Variety that the sitcom's original producers, NBC, have mooted moving the shrink away from Seattle to a new series with a new cast of supporting characters.
"Frasier" first hit screens in 1993, however the character premiered in 1983, in a Boston bar where everybody knew your name.
Kelsey Grammer, 49, has won Emmys for playing Fraiser on three different shows already.
After 20 years as Fraiser he holds the American record for the longest period of an actor continuously playing the same TV character.
