Golden Globes 2013; Adele surprised by award
Adele wins Golden Globe for James Bond song ‘Skyfall’ while Ben Affleck’s film Argo takes awards

The UK’s massive home-grown talent Adele added to her collection by taking a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for the latest James Bond film theme tune ‘Skyfall’.
The singer was surprised by the result, as she said: “Honestly, I've come out for a night out with my friend Ida - we're new mums - I have literally come for a night out. I was not expecting this.”
Ben Affleck, aged 40, who is best known as an American actor, also surprised the audience by taking home awards for Best Director as well as Best Film – Drama – for the film Argo. With Lincoln, Steven Spielberg’s flick, seeing Daniel Day-Lewis securing Best Actor.
And Les Miserables also came out on top with three awards including; Best Picture, Best Actor for Hugh Jackman’s role and Best Supporting Actress following Anne Hathaway’s performance.
Django Unchained, by Quentin Tarantino, won various awards including Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay.
The Golden Globe Award ceremony saw Damian Lewis win Best TV Actor for his performance in Homeland.
Dame Maggie Smith, popularly known for her role in TV Drama Downton Abbey, also picked up a prize winning Best Supporting Actress for TV Series Miniseries.
