A Tumblr blog called the Gluten Free Museum features images of classic works of art including “American Gothic”, “Le Petit Parisien” and Chardin Still Life, that were airbrushed to remove wheat-containing products. The blog was establish as “wheat-free diet” becomes the talk of the town.
According to official figures, as much as 1per cent of the UK’s population has coeliac disease, a disorder triggered by gluten that causes serious problems while other people suffer from gluten intolerance. For this gluten-free products have become more popular with their sales increasing by 15per cent last year. But still, many people ask: is it a legit cause or just another fad?
For French blogger who set up Gluten Free Museum, it’s neither. For him, the blog about gluten-free arts is nothing but a joke. He added he keeps things simple and only posts the images and the name of the artist "because less is more!"
