'Glee' star Jane Lynch has confirmed that she is engaged to her long-term partner, after reports surfaced in January.

Lynch revealed that she will tie the knot with Lara Embry, a psychologist, but insisted she hasnÂ’t set a date yet.

It has, however, previously been claimed that the pair would marry in May.

Lynch told US Magazine: "We don't have any plans at all yet.

"But I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!"

The 49-year-old star also talked about future episodes of 'Glee', the hit American TV series which focuses on a group of high school misfits who are all members of the same musical group, in which she plays a foul-mouthed coach.

She revealed that along with a highly-tipped special Madonna-themed show, Olivia Newton John will also be appearing in a special.

Lynch said: "Olivia Newton John visits and we do the Physical video together. I sing Let's Get Physical."
