Glasgow to Receive Robot Delivery Services

Co-op and Amazon to launch robot delivery services in Glasgow.

Co-op has recently entered a partnership with Amazon as part of its strategy to increase its sales from £70million to £200million by the end of the year. 

 

The new partnership will see the roll-out of robot delivery services designed to speed up "rapid kerb to kitchen grocery delivery services". It will allow Amazon Prime customers to do their grocery shopping on Amazon.co.uk with same-day delivery and two-hour scheduled time slots for free on orders over £40. 

 

The service, which will be trialled in Glasgow, including surrounding areas like Paisley and Hamilton, is expected to be rolled out to other parts of the UK before the end of the year. 

 

Co-op group chief executive Steve Murrells said: "The pandemic has accelerated changes in consumer shopping trends and we're driving forward with exciting plans to provide rapid kerb to kitchen grocery delivery services.
