Glasgow Clyde College says that every child of today must have the opportunity to access science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) to prepare for the future.
The advancements in technology in recent years have been nothing but staggering - changing almost every aspect of our lives and the very world that we live in. Five years ago, technologies like electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and wearable tech were just part of our imagination and wishful thinking but have now arrived to improve the quality of our lives.
As the pace of developments in science and tech is ever-quickening, everyone in our world today must be equipped with STEM skills. By teaching children skills that could introduce them to new technological advancements, we're equipping them with life skills that can be applied to whatever the world will look like in years to come.
At Glasgow Clyde College, around a quarter of their courses are in STEM subjects, including science, construction, computing, engineering and metaskills. This helps students master STEM skills that will provide them with invaluable skills for the future.
