"Take That" singer Gary Barlow has expressed his gratitude for the support that fans are giving following the death of his fourth child.
The baby, who Gary and wife Dawn were planning to name Poppy, was delivered stillborn. The couple is devastated by what happened.
Nevertheless, Gary took the time to tweet his gratitude to those who showed their support for the family in this tough time. He tweeted: “Your kind words and lovely messages are overwhelming. Thank you.”
The people who showed their support and shared the couple’s sorrow include Gary’s bandmates in Take That. Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, and Howard Donald are said to be ‘utterly distraught’ for their friend and have all sent their heartfelt messages to the X Factor judge.
A source close to the group said: “The boys are such a tight bunch and this has really knocked them all. They will always be there for him.”
The boy band is scheduled to perform at the Olympic closing ceremony on Sunday, but they are unsure if they will push through with the plans. Gary is said to still be in trying to decide whether he still wants to do it, while Robbie, 38, has already declined due to his wife Ayda Field’s pregnancy.
