Garner's J.No to Dallas

Jennifer Garner reportedly turned down a role in 'Dallas' after discovering Jennifer Lopez was to star in it.

The actress - who is married to Lopez's ex-fiancé Ben Affleck - had been lined up to play Pam Ewing.

But Garner backed out when she found out J.Lo was starring as JR's wife Sue-Ellen.

A source is quoted by website Hollywood.com as saying: "Jennifer Garner was really keen to be in 'Dallas', but I think she felt there would be a bit of a strain between them on set that could have led to awkward situations."

Affleck started romancing Garner, who he met while shooting 'Daredevil', in July 2004 - seven months after he ended his engagement with J.Lo.

The couple have a six-month-old daughter, Violet.

Other stars lined up to appear in the film include Luke Wilson as Bobby Ewing, John Travolta as JR and Shirley MacClaine as Miss Ellie.
