Television presenter Gail Porter is said to be in recovery at home, following an apparent suicide attempt.
The mother-of-one was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital, after she was found in her bathroom with cuts to her arms and chest, it has been reported.
She was hospitalised following the alleged incident on 18 May and was discharged on 20 May.
A police spokesman said:
"Police were called to an address in Belsize Park at approximately 21.00 hours on Wednesday following concerns for the welfare of a resident.
"A woman was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to a medical facility."
Porter's eight-year-old daughter, Honey, is staying with her father, Dan Hipgrave, while she recovers.
Gail, 40, has previously spoken about taking an overdose in 2005, following the breakdown of her marriage to Hipgrave, and has also admitted to self-harming when feeling stressed.
She was also diagnosed with post-natal depression after the birth of her daughter in 2003.
Porter has now returned to her home in Belsize Park with her boyfriend Jonny Davis, 25.
