Furious Tory MP’s are not exactly happy about Andrew Mitchell’s four-letter rant at a Downing Street cop; they are now set to launch public attack to force the Chief Wip to quit the post.
According to The Sun, Tory MPs are giving Mitchell “one last chance” otherwise, they will urge Chairman Graham Brady to tell David Cameron to let go of Mitchell.
Although Tory MP believes that Mitchell doesn’t have support, Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said that David Cameron has Mitchell’s back.
It can be remembered that Mitchell denied that he swore at the officer last month. He also added that he did not use the word “pleb” during the confrontation. Later on, Mitchell apologized but was not very specific about the words he used.
The representative for the police officer said that Mitchell’s alleged remarks were outrageous while the prime minister was believed to have said his conduct was inappropriate.
