Full Fibre to Come to Renfrewshire

CityFibre invests £40m to bring full fibre broadband to homes and businesses across Renfrewshire.

Fibre network is coming to hundreds of homes and businesses in Renfrewshire as part of a £40million investment from CityFibre. 

 

CityFibre's existing network, which currently serves council buildings, will be extended by approximately 700km to provide coverage to more sites. Construction work has officially begun in Paisley, with the first homes and businesses expected to be able to connect to the network from early 2021. 

 

David Cannon, formerly of the David MacBrayne Group and Scottish Enterprise, will serve as the city manager for the scheme and will be responsible for ensuring close communication with the council and stakeholders across the region.
