A recent survey commissioned by the makers of Disney series Girls Meet World has revealed the top 40 most missed childhood pleasures.
Among those that made the list include recording tunes from the top 40 charts onto tape, writing to pen pals and watching Tops of the Pops.
Handwritten notes, renting videos from a local shop, and waiting for photos to be developed also made the list.
More than 50per cent of the parents who participated on the survey said they pined for much simpler childhoods experienced by those in the 90s which seemed miles away from the days of mobile phones and impersonal communication.
Anna Hill, general manager of Disney UK said: “The findings reveal that many of us would dearly love to share our own experiences of childhood with our children."
