From footballer's wife to manager's ex

Laila Rouass, one of the stars of Footballers' Wives, is being lined up to play Nancy Dell'Olio in a film about her relationship with England coach Sven Goran Eriksson.

However, there is no word so far on who might play Sven, according to the Sun newspaper.

Sven and Nancy spent six years together but, following widely reported affairs with former weather girl and fellow Swede Ulrika Jonsson and FA secretary Faria Alam, they have now broken up.

"The film about Sven and Nancy is still in the early planning stages but Laila Rouass has been asked if she would be interested," said the Sun's source.

"No meeting has taken place, but producers are hopeful she will agree."

Twenty-eight year-old Rouass plays Amber in the ITV1 sex-and-soccer series.

Hallmark Channel producers, who are bringing the duo to the small screen, are said to believe that the "sultry dark looks" of Rouass are reminiscent of the 45-year-old Dell'Olio.
