There are a number of dating apps that you can use to look for love. Tinder continues to dominate the roost while Badoos and Bumbles aren’t far behind.
If you have used these app and failed to find the love of your life, you can explore new ones, such as Hily and Wingman.
Hily is one of the top five breakout social apps last year in the UK, Canada, France and the US. It uses an algorithm that focuses on matching people by analysing profile and swipes that have been made previously. It also takes into consideration other factors, including background, lifestyle and interests. It has a photo verification process and bans people who cause complaints.
Meanwhile, Wingman, which is a big hit in the United States, takes all the dating admin away from you. It allows you to choose up to five wing (wo)men who set up a profile for you, write a bio and sift through potential partners. You will only receive a notification once a successful match has been made.
Founder Tina Wilson said that Wingman was born out of her own swiping fatigue. “I found myself single after a 10-year relationship and was thrown into the world of online dating. It was frustrating in so many ways. I wanted a more impactful and collaborative way to connect that was more in line with real-life behaviour. What if my friends could step in and help me out? That’s when the idea was born.”
