One of the best features of Google Home is it can play any song you like on-demand. All it takes is a simple voice command - “Okay Google, play (the title of the song).” Previously, this feature was only available to users with an active Spotify or Google Play Music subscription. However, with Google now supporting Deezer and Spotify for free, users are now allowed to select these options within the Google Home by going to Setting > Music > More music services.
Users also have the option of setting up a list in Google Play Music, which is a free app that can be downloaded on the Google Play Store. It is important to note that without an active or paid subscription, Google Home will not find and play audio within Google Play Music. However, it will play a user’s saved playlists.
Google Home also let users stream music from online radio services, including the BBC and Capital FM. Though you will not be able to control what songs are played, you can listen to current popular music without paying for it. Simply say “Okay Google, play (radio station name).”
