Jamie Foxx has denied that Tom Cruise asked him to be godfather to his new baby daughter Suri.

The 'Ray' star struck up a friendship with the Hollywood giant after starring opposite him in action movie 'Collateral' but insists he has not been offered the important role.

The actor said: "It's a rumour. I did give them a nice basket to congratulate them but I'm not Suri's godfather."

Meanwhile, Foxx was left fuming during a recent trip to London after a group of drunken revellers soaked him with champagne.

The actor was partying at London's trendy MoVida nightclub when the incident took place.

Foxx, 38, was left drenched by the six troublemakers and the unexpected soaking sparked a brawl between the men and the star's crew.
