Former Big Brother contestant Chanelle Hayes is pregnant, she has reportedly announced.

The 22-year-old glamour model and sometime singer confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, footballer Matthew Bates, after having her 12-week scan.

A source told The Sun: "The dark days are behind now and Chanelle is absolutely thrilled. Matthew's over the moon too."

The news comes five months after a argument between the couple reportedly led to her being rushed to hospital after taking an overdose of pills and alcohol.

Hayes appeared in the eighth series of Big Brother in 2007. One of her most memorable moments was when she started a relationship with fellow contestant Ziggy Lichman.

Following her stint in the Big Brother house, Chanelle designed & launched her own perfume called "Mwah..." in late 2007.

The current series of Celebrity Big Brother has seen Lady Sovereign, Heidi Fleiss and Katia Ivanova leave the house.
