Fine dining: 2014's top 10 best restaurants in the world revealed
A string of London restaurants have made it to the list of the greatest restaurants in the world.

Elite Traveler has announced its list of the top restaurants in the world for 2014. Making its list of 100 fine eating establishments are 11 UK venues including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and the Roux brother’s Waterside Inn in Berskshire.
Meanwhile, The Ledbury in Notting Hill and Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck made the top 10 shortlist.
Every year, the magazine conducts a survey with is participated in by their readers to chart “their favourite restaurants and gourmet chefs of the past year.”
Blumenthal said: "Food critics are very important for the business and obviously to bring the general public in, but ultimately you’re cooking for your customers and you want to give them the best pleasure and experience. So to have this recognition, after we’ve been going for nearly twenty years, it’s fantastic."
Describing The Ledbury, which got the ninth place, Elite Traveler said that it offers “superb contemporary French cuisine in a relaxed west London setting.” The magazine also recommended dishes such as “Cornish turbot, pigeon, Scottish langoustine, and quail’s egg.
The UK entries in the World's Top 100 Best Restaurants list were as follows: The Fat Duck, Berkshire (3rd place), The Ledbury, London (9), Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, London (23), Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, London (24), Le Manoir, Oxfordshire (30), Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester, London (54), Le Gavroche, London (74), Amaya, London (76), The Waterside Inn, Berkshire (94), Nobu, London (96), Zuma, London (99).
