Faster WiFi
Wifi 100 times faster could be coming.

An international research team has, for the first time, demonstrated a method for multiplexing data carried on terahertz, high-frequency radiation that may enable the next generation of ultra-high bandwidth wireless network.
Current voice and data networks, which use microwaves to carry signals wirelessly, are struggling to meet the growing demand for quicker transmission. With this discovery, WiFi speed could be boosted by up to 100per cent.
Professor Daniel Mittleman, from Brown University in the US, said: ‘We showed that we can transmit separate data streams on terahertz waves at very high speeds and with very low error rates.
‘This is the first time anybody has characterized a terahertz multiplexing system using actual data, and our results show that our approach could be viable in future terahertz wireless networks.’
