Hollywood hellraiser Colin Farrell has said that he would rather do a movie version of Miami Vice than become the next James Bond.
Farrell has been just one of a host of actors linked to the 007 role now that producers appear to have turned their backs on Pierce Brosnan.
Brosnan recently gave his fellow Irishman his endorsement, saying that Farrell would "eat the heads off" the other potential Bonds.
However, Farrell, who plays the title role in the forthcoming historical epic, Alexander, said he would rather appear in Miami Vice.
Heat director Michael Mann is involved in the project that will bring the 80s television series made famous by Don Johnson to the big screen.
Farrell is said to be in talks to play Johnson's role Sonny Crockett, alongside Jamie Foxx, who worked with Mann on his most recent film, Collateral.
