F1 drivers have threatened to boycott German grand prix after tyres of five cars exploded in British race.

F1 drivers, who were deeply concerned about their safety, are threatening to boycott German Grand Prix after the tyres of five cars have exploded on Sunday’s British race. British Grand Prix was almost called off amid drivers’ safety concerns.

Among the drivers who suffer high-speed blow out was Lewis Hamilton. His chances of winning his home race disappeared as his left-rear tire exploded.

Felipe Massa said that F1 drivers will surely talk about the German Grand Prix. He said: “I am 100 per cent sure that every driver is complaining about today, not just drivers who had the problems. I don’t want to say that [we will strike] now because I don’t want to create loads of problems, but this is something that we can do for our safety.’

Lewis Hamilton who came in fourth said: ‘Safety is the biggest issue. It’s just unacceptable. If they don’t react, that says everything.’

He added: ‘It could have happened at high speeds and someone could have crashed. I was thinking in the race when I was behind the safety car, it’s only when someone gets hurt that someone will do something about it.’
