Scientists fear the new Armageddon virus that leaps from animals to humans. The symptoms appear suddenly with high fever, stomach pain, vomiting, and joint pain.
If the illness remains uncured even for a short period of time, patient run the risk of uncontrolled bleeding and developing large areas of bruising. In more than 30% of the cases, this illness is proven to be fatal.
To date, there are at least 2 confirmed cases of Sars-like virus; one from Glasgow who has been in Afghanistan for a brother’s wedding and another one from London. The last patient bore all the symptoms of Sars virus but various test proved that it wasn’t Sars. It was something that the medical society hasn’t discovered yet.
Using the most advanced gene-scanning technique, scientists confirmed that the virus indeed came from family as Sars but it came not from humans but from animals. Its closest relatives have been found in Asiatic bats.
One leading British virologist, Professor John Oxford at Queen Mary Hospital, University of London, and a world authority on epidemics, warns that we must expect an animal-originated pandemic to hit the world within the next five years, with potentially cataclysmic effects on the human race according to some reports.
