Exeter City Council has teamed up with digital experts Cosmic and community centres throughout the city for its free Digital Drop-In Sessions for residents struggling with technology.
The sessions, which are offered to everyone living in Exeter, will be held every Tuesday at Wonford Community Leisure Centre and on Thursdays at the Beacon Centre in Beacon Heath.
The scheme will run throughout the summer and is open for people of all ages and abilities. Its goal is to help residents feel more confident about making the most of the online and digital world and take advantage of online resources and opportunities.
Cllr Amal Ghusain, Lead Councillor for Communities and Culture, said: “We live in a digital age and this is becoming increasingly the case as time goes by. So many of today’s opportunities are available online and in a digital format and more and more services are becoming digital.
“We realise, for many people who have not been brought up in a digital era, that getting to grips with the digital world can be daunting and that’s why, we have helped set up this programme of online learning.”
