"Excellent" Bromsgrove CCTV Services

Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner describes Bromsgrove CCTV services as "excellent"

Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner has commended Bromsgrove for its outstanding CCTV service. The commissioner said that the local authority's CCTV service demonstrated an "excellent and most commendable commitment" to privacy and service quality. 

 

The Home Secretary's appointment commissioner certified the service as compliant with all relevant laws and code of practice for surveillance cameras. The service operates across Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough. 

 

Bromsgrove District Council’s CCTV and telecare manager Rachel Nicholls said: “We always strive for excellence, and we’re delighted to once again be certified as an effective service that respects your privacy and civil liberties.

 

“It’s vital that we stay on our toes and give everyone that ongoing confidence that our local CCTV service is transparent, lawful, and proportionate."
