Scenes from next weekÂ’s Take Me Out have been axed amid news that two of the contestants, who won a trip to Cyprus, have previously worked in the sex trade.
Thirty-two-year-old Aaron Withers came to the show hoping to find love with one of the contestants, but has found himself humiliated instead, as it was revealed that he worked as a £50 an hour escort.
He told the Daily Mail that his job as a tarmac worker didnÂ’t pay enough and so he needed to earn extra cash.
The show saw Aaron choose Wen-Jing Mo from the line-up of girls, who it has now
been revealed also has a murky past.
Wen worked as a £200-per-hour prostitute from the age of 18.
She told the newspaper:
"Looking back now of course I regret doing it – but at the time it was a lifeline for me.
"I think a lot of other people in my position would do the same if it meant they could eat properly- I saw it as a matter of survival."
It also came to light that Mr Withers has a criminal conviction, after hitting a couple with a pool cue last year.
A spokesperson for the show told the Mail Online that the couple's date will not be aired on the next show because Aaron had failed to tell producers about his criminal record.
