21:03 21 February 2011
Singer Adele has made chart history after becoming the first artist in 50 years to have two top five singles and two top five albums in the charts at the same time.
Her single Someone Like You beat the likes of Lady Gaga to number one on 20 February, following her performance at the BRITs.
The 22-year-oldÂ’s new album, 21, has also been at the top of the album chart for the fourth week running.
Speaking to Reggie Yates on Radio One’s Chart Show, the star said: “I've never had a number one single. It's amazing.
“I'm probably annoying everyone as well, as I cried at the BRITs and everything. I'm just so overwhelmed; I can't believe the response to it.”
AdeleÂ’s debut album, 19, is hanging on to its number four spot, while her single Rolling in the Deep reached number four in the singles chart.
The Beatles were the last act to have two top five hits in both charts back in January 1964.
