Kings of Leon cancel tour
Rumours of problems within the band...
09:07 02 August 2011
Kings of Leon have cancelled their US tour amid claims of problems within the band.
The news comes after frontman Caleb Followill walked off the stage during a show in Dallas, Texas, after slurring his way through his performance.
The Sex on Fire singer claimed he could no longer perform because of "heat exhaustion and dehydration".
Later his brother and fellow band member, bassist Jared Followill tweeted:
"Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses and problems that have needed to be addressed. No words."
After the cancellation announcement was made he wrote:
"Utterly depressed. It's completely out of my hands. Family has to come 1st. If bass solos & backing vocals were more popular, I'd be there."
He also sought to reassure fans of the bandÂ’s future by saying:
"Don't jump to conclusions guys. We're not breaking up."
The band, who have won multiple Grammy awards and sold millions of albums across the world, are set to resume touring in Canada in September.
