Katy Perry sues magazine
'Humiliated' star issues writ over affair claims...

Katy Perry is suing an Australian publication after it claimed that she had an affair with her record producer, Benny Blanco.
NW magazine claimed last month that the singer had an "intimate relationship" with the producer, putting a strain on her marriage to comedian Russell Brand.
Twenty-six-year-old Katy is now pursuing damages and reports in Oz say she could win a six-figure payout.
Her writ, lodged against the magazine's publisher, ACP Magazines, says:
"By reason of the publication of the article, the plaintiff (Perry) has been gravely injured in her reputation and feelings (and) has suffered distress, embarrassment and humiliation."
The publication claimed that Katy was with Blanco when he mixed her hit single, California Girls, an allegation which has been dismissed by Perry.
NW also quoted a 'friend' of Katy's and a source called Marlon Davies in the article. The singer says she does not know and has never met either person.
Katy, who married husband Russell in a ceremony in India last October, says the magazine did not check the story with her and has refused to apologise, "although it was clearly inaccurate".
Benny Blanco has also produced tracks by stars such as Ke$ha, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber.
NW has not issued a response to the writ.
