Elton's sitcom bombs

Elton John's TV sitcom has bombed in the US.

The British pop legend had produced a comedy about an over-the-hill rock star named Max Flash and his entourage.

But the pilot of 'Him and Us' - which was to star former 'Sex and the City' beauty Kim Cattrall and was rumoured to feature guest appearances from Mick Jagger - was not picked up by any American TV networks and will not be made into a series.

Earlier this week, Elton launched a bitter tirade at Cannes Film Festival photographers saying they "should all be shot".

He was talking about what a talent Zegers was when a photographer shouted out to him, causing Elton to lose his cool.

Elton fumed: "I'm talking... you f**kwit, f**king photographers you should be shot, you should be all shot. Thank you."
