Sir Elton John has offered his support to Britain's Prince Charles over his forthcoming wedding to former mistress Camilla Parker Bowles.
Elton - who was close friends with Charles' late ex-wife Princess Diana and famously performed at her funeral in 1997 - has publicly backed the prince in his decision to finally wed his long-term partner.
Despite the strong friendship he enjoyed with Diana, the flamboyant rocker insists he is also very fond of Charles and believes the time is right for him to marry his true love.
He told US chat show host Jay Leno: "Let him be happy. When Charles married Diana it wasn't the right couple getting married at the right time. I was great friends with Princess Diana but I know Charles as well. He is a well intentioned man. I think he just married the wrong woman and now he can marry the right one."
Meanwhile, Ozzy Osbourne has also praised Charles in his decision to finally tie the knot with Camilla.
The reality TV star - who was sent a message of support and a bottle of whiskey by the prince after he seriously injured himself in a quad bike accident - took time out from a promotional trip in Australia to offer his support for the betrothed couple.
He told reporters: "It's his business you know. His first wife got killed so what's he expected to do, be single for the rest of his life? If he likes her and she likes him or whatever, good luck on them."
