Eastenders: Spoiler alert!
Controversial storyline finally comes to an end...
09:49 12 April 2011
Kat and Alfie Moon are finally to be reunited with their baby son, who they thought was dead.
In emotional scenes to be aired 15 April, Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, and Alfie, played by Shane Ritchie, are seen holding baby Tommy.
The couple have been grieving for their child since January, when Ronnie Branning secretly swapped her newborn - who had passed away from cot death - with Kat and Alfie's.
However, four months on, Branning, played by Samantha Womack, comes clean to her husband after struggling to cope with the guilt.
She then tells the Moon's the truth, before handing herself into police.
Ronnie is then imprisoned for the crime, paving the way for Womack's exit from the soap, after four years playing the character.
The baby swap storyline was one of the most controversial in the soap's history and prompted more than 8,400 complaints to regulator, Ofcom.
