EastEnders' on/off lovers Ricky Butcher and Bianca Jackson are to tie the knot for a second time.
Producers of the BBC soap have confirmed that the divorced pair's engagement will come about at Christmas when Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen) pops the question to his childhood sweetheart Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).
Their wedding will take place in February around Valentine's Day to coincide with the Walford soap's 25th anniversary.
A source told The Mirror: "Ricky and Bianca getting hitched again is what viewers have been dreaming of from the moment they arrived back in Albert Square.
"This will hopefully be the happy ending everyone is waiting for. We could well be looking at the greatest love story ever told. It's going to be emotional."
It was announced last month that former cast members Lindsey Coulson (Carol Jackson), Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson) and Dean Gaffney (Robbie Jackson) will all be back on screen in the early part of next year, reuniting the family.
Meanwhile, the programme's bosses have also confirmed that a spinoff DVD titled EastEnders: Last Tango In Walford will be released. It will focus on the wedding preparations and the Jacksons family comeback.
Ricky and Bianca married for the first time in April 1997. However, it didn't last long after Bianca's affair with her mother Carol's partner Dan Sullivan (Craig Fairbrass) was exposed, prompting Ricky to call time on the relationship after two years.
