There's a new arrival destined for EastEnders residency after Zainab Masood falls pregnant.
Zainab, played by actress Nina Wadia, is shocked by the unexpected news that she is expecting her fourth child.
The 40-year-old and her husband Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) believed that their days of being parents were over with all their children now being adults.
Their youngest son, Tamwar (Himesh Patel), is soon to take his A-level examinations, after which the couple intended to travel the world.
But the shock pregnancy is not welcomed by Zainab who takes the news badly.
A soap insider told the Sun: "What should be a special moment in their lives is greeted with dismay.
"Zainab takes it badly and throws a real tantrum, but Masood is more relaxed about it – even though it was his dream to go off together.
"She feels she's done her duties and hates the idea that she'll be a mum when she's in her sixties. It puts a really dark cloud over the relationship for a while."
The couple's other two children include Shabnam Masood (Zahra Ahmad), who is away travelling and Syed (Marc Elliott), who is in his mid-twenties.
