Durham 5G Mast Plan

A 20m 5G mast could be installed on Dereham Road in Norwich.

Telecom company CK Hutchinson has officially filed an application to install a 20m 5G mast on Dereham Road at the junction of Guardian Road to Norwich City Council. 

In the application, the company described the new mast as "slim-line with six antennas". 

Labour city councillor Kevin Maguire said that a better site for the pole would be in Heigham Grove if the firm's goal is to increase coverage across the whole city. 

CK Hutchinson replied with a map showing an existing mast that provides good coverage to Heigham Grove and showed the areas which would gain coverage as a result of the new Dereham Road mast, if approved. 

The firm also hopes to build a new 5G mast in the Havers Road footway in NR3.
